Baked Honey Chicken Tenders

Charlotte Anderson @ Carolina Honeybees, LLC
Golden baked chicken tenders made using honey and bread crumbs for a crispy coating. Using only 1-2 tablespoons of honey adds flavor and locks in moisture.
Toss chicken in the flavorful coating and add some Italian Seasoning to give them more flavor if you wish. Moist and delicious.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken tenders
  • 2 tablespoons Mayo
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs (optional)
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Mix the mayo and honey together - add to a bowl containing the chicken pieces and stir well - coating the tenders with mixture.
  • Place the bread crumbs in a plastic bag.
  • Toss coated tenders 2 or 3 at a time in the bread crumb bag.
  • Place chicken strips in a single layer on a baking sheet or sheet pan that has been sprayed with cooking spray. You can use a foil lining instead for easier cleanup.
  • Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over all of the tenders.
  • Place in a preheated 425° F oven.
  • Cook for 8 minutes - carefully turn tenders over.
  • Cook for an additional 8 minutes - remove from oven. Enjoy

Notes

Notes:
Don't worry about adding the mayo - you won't taste it in the final dish.
You can substitute panko for bread crumbs if you wish.
